Our Rich Heritage
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with over 1.4 million members in 46,000 clubs across 200+ countries. Lionism arrived in Jamaica in 1965, and today 27 Lions Clubs serve the island.
The Lions Club of St. Andrew Central was chartered February 12, 1992, with Charter President Lion Carmen Chen, PMJF. We've grown from strength to strength, winning prestigious awards and producing outstanding leaders including Zone and Region Chairpersons.
Youth Leadership Development
Leo Club Sponsorship
We sponsor 1 Omega Leo Club and 1 Alpha Leo Club at Gaynstead High School, nurturing the next generation of community leaders.
UN SDG Projects
Our Leos organize projects addressing UN Sustainable Development Goals, from leadership development to accessibility standards for persons with disabilities.
Skills Development
Youth participate in project writing workshops, environmental initiatives, and healthy aging projects, building practical leadership skills.

COVID-19 Response
During the pandemic, we intensified hunger relief efforts, providing food staples and toiletries to vulnerable populations. Our sustainable approach includes establishing vegetable gardens at elder care homes.
